This is probably the most used way to earn money in internet marketing. You earn money by becoming an affiliate of others by selling their products (either physical or digital) and you get a commission of each sale the vendor makers. Some of the most popular affiliate marketing programs are ClickBank, eJunkie and Commission Junction. You can also make money by selling physical goods using the Amazon Associates program.
2. Buy Profitable Websites or Online Businesses
If you have some money to invest, you can buy profitable websites or online businesses. A good website to buy profitable sites is www.Flippa.com. In the IM world, one usually pays around 10 times to 15 times the monthly profit of a website. However one needs to be very careful because there are many scamsters who can trick you into buying a useless website.
3. Running Membership Websites
Running a membership website can provide many years of profitable income. For example, you can start a website that offers solid information on a particular topic and then charge people for becoming members of the site. Members will get special privileges and access to special content.
4. Make Money by Blogging and running Websites
If you have a strong interest in any topic (say Labrador dogs or rc helicopters), you might want to start a blog or website using WordPress or BlogSpot. Then you can apply for programs like Google AdSense, Kontera, Chitika or InfoLinks. These programs will display related ads on your blog and if someone clicks on the ads, you will make money. A well-created website that ranks high on search engines like Google or Bing can get you passive income even when you are sleeping or watching TV.
5. Running Forums
Similar to blogs, you can start a forum on an area of interest and get others to comment and post in your forum. The advantage of forums when compared to blogs is that once the forum is kick started, you just need to sit and watch your earnings through ads grow. A forum can also be upgraded to a membership site easily. Two examples of well-known forums are www.warriorforum.com and forums.digitalpoint.com.
6. Selling Digital Products
Once you are well versed in the field of internet marketing, you can start creating your own info products (eBooks) which provide a solution to desperate questions and then have affiliates sell your product. You can list your digital info product on a website like ClickBank for sale and watch others sell it for you. Some of the evergreen topics for creating info products are: weight loss, how to get your ex back, dating, mmo etc. One can also sell mini-courses in the form of info products coupled with telephonic or email coaching. If you have a penchant for photography or drawing/painting and art, you can sell your creations online through websites like Fotolia, deviant art etc.
7. Getting leads for offline business
This involves getting sales leads using the internet for a local offline business. For example, say there is a firm or company which offers to create swimming pools in your locality. You can get a sales lead for them and the firm pays you either a flat amount or a commission. Other examples are: insurance leads, mortgage refinancing leads etc.
8. Flipping Websites
Flipping Websites involves buying existing sites, modifying or changing the content and selling them for a profit. There are many internet marketers who flip websites for living. Some examples of sites where you can buy and sell websites are forums.digitalpoint.com and www.Flippa.com.

For example, you can get article writing orders and instead of writing it yourself, you can get someone from a Freelancer website to do it for you. You can charge the customer at a higher rate.
10. Make Money Online By Selling Physical Products
This can be a very profitable way of making money online if done well. Selling a physical product has its advantages because buyers have a strong sense of trust when buying physical products that will be shipped to them when compared to buying digital products like eBooks. There are many ways to sell physical products online. Some of the most popular are:
Amazon has a program where vendors can list their physical products (and also digital products like books for Kindle) for sale. Amazon will take a percentage of the sale. The advantage of using Amazon is that your product or brand gets exposure and people trust Amazon’s website as it is the most popular online shopping website. Another advantage is that the vast network of Amazon associates (affiliates) will also market the product for you and sell it.
EBay also allows selling physical products online. The goods can be both new and used (second-hand sales). EBay also allows users to bid on the products you have listed and thus sell through an auction.
DropShopping means selling someone else’s physical product as if it’s yours. You sell the product, send the order details by e-mail or phone to the drop-shipper who will then ship the product to the customer as if it has been delivered by you. The advantage of this is that there is no inventory risk.
Click and Brick eCommerce
If you already have an offline business selling goods or if you are manufacturing a homemade product, you can sell the products directly through your website and make money.
11. Make money online by Offering Niche Services
You can also offer your expertise in your offline skills through a website or a classified ad system (like Craigslist) in order to get clients. Make Money Online With No Investment
If you are going to make money online and don’t want to invest any money, then learning the basics of how search engines work is your first priority (don’t worry if you’re new to this) Just keep reading and I will explain everything step by step.
Obviously, search engines are what people use to find information online such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, and so on. Now to put it, in a nutshell, the people who make the most money online are those that are dominating the search results, that is where the real money is.
You may say, now how the heck am I gonna do that? Well, my friend it all has to do with search engine optimization, don’t let that scare you, by the time you’ve finished reading this article you will have a basic understanding of what SEO is all about.
- Basic SEO involves:
- Quality back-links:
- Placing of keywords:
- Potential to make money with those keywords:
- Monetizing your site to make money:
Yes, I know there’s a lot of keyword research and work involved with them in SEO. But without those keywords the search engines will never find your site, article, blog etc so you can see how important they are to rank your site.
Keywords are what users type into their computer when looking for information online. For instance, if a user decides to search for clothing online then they might type in something like (blue cotton sweaters)and the search engine will give them the top ten results for those words.
Potential To Make Money with your keywords:
Keyword research should be the first thing you do before starting any money making venture online because if the search engines can’t find you then no one will.
There is a cool tool that Google offers to find the potential of any given keyword that will give you stats that are vital to your success. You can see how many monthly searches your keywords get (Global & Local) and if you are choosing to use Adsense on your site you can also see what each advertiser is paying for those keywords.
As I said Google has a tool called Google Adword Keyword tool this has the potential to give you an estimate of how many monthly searches any particular keyword will get. It will also give you stats on global searches or local searches for your keywords.
Certain keywords may get searched at different times during the year…. for instance, if you have keywords based around say…woolly sweaters then obviously the majority of searches would be during the winter months opposed to the searches during summer, this is something that you will have to consider when doing keyword research.
Google’s keyword tool is purely an estimate on the potential searches that any given keyword will get, but to get better results you may want to change broad search to exact, this will give you much more defined results. When doing keyword research you will basically only want to see CPC or cost per click, that’s if you are monetizing with Adsense.
Placing of Keywords:
Now when a search engine comes to your site, they will scan it from left to right. So placing your keyword at the beginning and end of your article is a good start.
Blue cotton sweaters are made from the finest cotton that gives the wearer a feel of comfort as well as style…etc….
Also placing your keywords throughout your article will help better, but do not do it in a way where you thrash the heck out of the words they need to blend in with your content or article. Otherwise, the engines may consider your site as spam. So the main thing here is to give the reader what they want in terms of quality information and gently put your keywords into your content as naturally as possible.
Monetizing your site:
Once you have done your keyword research and found out the potential to make money with your keywords, you can then start to monetize your site and start making some money online. There are a number of ways to monetize your website by either choosing to sell Affiliate products, Placing Adsense on your site or charging a small fee for advertisers to promote their products.
If you are going to sell affiliate products you will need to base your keywords around those products for instance if you are going to sell woolly jersey’s you will need to enter those words into Google’s keyword tool and find out if the monthly searches justify the potential to make any money online.
- Make Money Online As An Affiliate
Real make money online opportunities are all over the web, but the easiest way to start to make money online is as an affiliate. It’s quite normal not to know what an affiliate is, it’s not a term to be widely used outside the online marketing world. I was thinking that I don’t want to leave anyone behind so let me take a few steps back…
So briefly here’s what an affiliate does. They market (or promote if you fancy that term) someone else’s product or service for a percentage of the sales price ‘a commission’. You can find affiliate programs in almost every conceivable niche, from nail polish to car tires. Becoming an affiliate is a free process nothing to pay 🙂
Are you thinking “where do you find these affiliate programs?” Well there are loads of places but I’m just going to name a few, you should apply to all that I mention to get accepted into their affiliate programs too.
1) Clickbank – I mention Clickbank as they just deal with digital information product which are by far the easiest type of products to sell online. Clickbank has well over 10,000 products to choose from and you get accepted straight away. Digital products are instantly downloadable no matter what time of day or night, and solution driven, by that I mean They give you information that solves an info issue that you search for, like how to cut hair at home, how to lose weight or how to train a dog … Do you get the picture? So head over to ClickBank sign up as an affiliate and browse through their marketplace.
2) Commission Junction – Now these guy’s sell all sorts of things, you can find digital and physical products there. You do need a website but even a Squidoo lens or a free google blog will get you into the affiliate program, both squidoo and a google blogs are free so no cash to put out at all. Just like click bank, commission junction has everything sorted into categories. So you can search for something that you have interest in and start promoting that straight away. It’s best to promote something you know a bit about that way all your blog posts and articles come across will be convincing naturally. So your next port of call should be commission junction.
3) Linkshare – Now Linkshare is little different, you will most likely recognize quite a few of the brands here as part of their affiliate program. You can earn commissions from over 600 leading brands. I’m talking about Top End products form Macy’s and Toy’s R Us. These are great for banner advertising too as everyone recognizes the brand names and are familiar with the stores. Linkshare does also require you to have a website. But again a free site will do here too.
OK, those are the 3 affiliate groups that I would certainly say you can start with. Let’s see how long it takes you to earn your first commissions. Go and make money online as an affiliate, and don’t forget the previous info about picking the right keywords for your campaigns. Any questions just drop me a comment below – good luck and don’t give up.
